TEACHER TRAINING COURSES (TESOL)
CERTIFICATE IV IN TESOL This is a Certificate IV qualification under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and is recognised throughout Australia for employment in NEAS accredited schools as the minimum qualification. In Australia, Asia and South America the Certificate IV in TESOL has equal recognition as the CELTA. The Certificate IV in TESOL may also be completed in two stages. Stage 1 is designed as a ‘starter kit’ for new teachers who may not be considering TESOL as their career choice but require some formal training before entering the class room. This can later be upgraded to the full Certificate IV with the addition of two or more weeks of further training. DIPLOMA IN TESOL This is a Diploma qualification under the Australian Qualifications Framework recognised for senior level teaching positions. The Certificate and Diploma TESOL Courses receive credit towards many Australian University Bachelor & Master of Education degrees.
