ACADEMIC ENGLISH
(Certificate III in English Proficiency 40494SA/ Certficate IV in English For Academic Purposes 91459NSW)
These courses are designed for students who do
not meet the English entry requirements for university at either
undergraduate or postgraduate level.
Course components include:
• Academic reading and writing skills
classes.
• Computing for academic purposes.
• Participation in tutorial discussions.
• Conducting research using libraries and the Internet.
• Preparation for external examinations such as the IELTS
and Next Generation TOEFL.
• 6 week modules available.
* A full time English course is made up of 23 hours of study (20 hours of compulsory
study plus 3 hours of optional Special Focus Classes or Self Study.
